The Bubble Tram, which encircles at the top of the Canton Tower at 450 meters high, it is the world’s tallest horizontal Ferris wheel. It consists of 16 crystal sightseeing spherical cabins, each of which can holds 4 to 6 people and each ride lasts 20 minutes. Visitors could take in an unobstructed panoramic view of the city.
Unlike the other vertical Ferris wheels, the Bubble Tram is inclined 15 degree installed on the roof track. Thus, we designed a later patented leveling-mechanism, which ingeniously combined with mechanical property and special structure, to stabilize these slightly tilted cabins during circling. Meanwhile, it was designed to be able to resist 8-magnitude earthquakes and Beaufort scale 12 typhoons.
Since its opening in 2011, the Bubble Tram created enormous economic benefits, with turnover more than RMB 50 million annually. Being a window of Guangzhou to the world, the Bubble Tram on Canton Tower has received hundreds of leaders and dignitaries, successfully revealed the attractiveness of Guangzhou.
