After careful study and repeated demonstration, we designed and built three sets of sightseeing platforms along the steel structure of the outer wall on the 121st floor (570 meter high) of the Shanghai Tower. The project is designed, developed, manufactured and installed independently by us.
The sightseeing platform is mainly composed of observation cabins (about 9.1 square meters) and rear service cabins (about 5.5 square meters). During operation, the platform moved by its own drive, slowly extending about 3.8 meters outside the glass curtain wall of the building. At that point, the entire retractable part of the observation cabins is outside and suspended. The maximum extension distance is 3.8 meters.
The observation cabins are totally transparent in its five faces (floor, ceiling, left side, right side, front wall). Tourists can experience the breathtaking sensation of floating in the cabin. The floor is specialized made of a new type of glass that adjusts its transparency autonomously, so as to create different degrees of floating sensation to meet different needs. In addition, the observation cabins can also be equipped with cold and warm air-conditioners, premium audio devices, monitors, high definition photographic devices and others, which not only have sightseeing functions, but also can be used for small meetings or tea breaks.
